wall at the American Museum at Duxford was six feet high and very
long. Every little airplane represents an American aircraft that
was lost during the Second World War. The sign reports that 6346
8th Air Force planes were lost, 692 9th air force planes along with 24
US Navy planes. The Duxford field was one of many used by
American planes. |
